Dashboard Overview

Learn how to navigate the Aura dashboard, understand your Aura cards, access quick actions, and customize your home view.

Overview

The dashboard is your home base in Aura - the first thing you see when you log in. It gives you a quick view of all your Auras, recent activity, and quick actions to get things done fast.

This guide walks through every section of the dashboard and how to make the most of it.

Dashboard Layout

The top header provides global navigation:

  • Aura Logo: Click to return to the dashboard from anywhere
  • Library: Access your saved locations and resources
  • Create Aura: Quick access to create a new Aura
  • Notifications: Bell icon shows unread notification count
  • Profile Menu: Your avatar - click for Settings, Subscription, and Sign Out

Main Content Area

The main dashboard area is organized into sections:

  • Welcome Banner: Personalized greeting with time-based context
  • Aura Cards: Your Auras displayed as interactive cards
  • Activity Feed: Recent messages and interactions
  • Quick Access: Shortcuts to common actions

Aura Cards

Each Aura appears as a card on your dashboard, giving you at-a-glance info and quick access to actions.

Card Information

Each Aura card shows:

  • Avatar: The visual icon you chose for this Aura
  • Name: Your Aura's name (e.g., "Wellness Coach")
  • Description: Brief summary of the Aura's purpose
  • Last Active: When you last interacted with this Aura
  • Status Badge: Active, Paused, or Disabled indicator
  • Unread Count: Number of unread messages from this Aura

Quick Actions

Click or hover on an Aura card to reveal quick actions:

  • Chat: Open a conversation with this Aura
  • Settings: Access this Aura's configuration
  • More menu (...): Additional options like Pause, Duplicate, Delete

Clicking the main area of the card opens the chat interface.

Status Indicators

Aura cards display status through visual cues:

  • Active (green dot): Fully operational, sending messages and running rules
  • Paused (yellow dot): Temporarily inactive, not sending proactive messages
  • Disabled (gray/dimmed): Inactive, doesn't count toward limits
  • Syncing (spinner): Currently updating sense data
  • Error (red dot): Connection issue with a sense that needs attention
Tip
Click the status indicator to see more details about what's happening with that Aura.

Activity Feed

The activity feed shows recent interactions across all your Auras:

  • Messages sent by your Auras
  • Rules that triggered
  • Sense updates and syncs
  • Your replies and conversations

Each activity item shows:

  • Which Aura was involved
  • A preview of the message or action
  • When it happened

Click any item in the feed to jump directly to that conversation or action.

Quick Access Panel

The quick access panel provides shortcuts to common actions and information.

Recent Messages

See your most recent unread messages across all Auras:

  • Shows the Aura's avatar and name
  • Preview of the message content
  • Time the message was sent
  • Click to open the full conversation

The "View All" link takes you to a consolidated message inbox.

Upcoming Events

If you have calendar senses connected, you'll see upcoming events:

  • Today's remaining events
  • Tomorrow's schedule preview
  • Quick view without opening your calendar
Note
The events shown come from calendars connected as senses. Connect your calendar in the Connecting Services section.

Usage Statistics

The dashboard displays your current usage against plan limits:

  • Active Auras: "2 of 3 Auras active" - shows how many Auras you're using vs your limit
  • Monthly Messages: "150 of 500 messages used" - your messaging usage this billing period
  • Behavior Rules: Total active rules across all Auras

Click the usage stats to go to the detailed Limits page in Settings.

Tip
If you're approaching your limits, the stats will highlight in yellow as a warning. Red indicates you've hit the limit.

Customizing Your Dashboard

Personalize your dashboard view:

  • Pin Auras: Drag your most-used Auras to the top of the list
  • Hide Disabled: Option to hide disabled Auras from the main view
  • Compact Mode: Show more Auras with smaller cards
  • Activity Feed Toggle: Show or hide the activity feed panel

Access these options from the dashboard settings (gear icon in the dashboard header).

Tips & Shortcuts

  • Keyboard shortcuts: Press N to create a new Aura,S to open settings
  • Click + hold: On an Aura card to quickly access the actions menu
  • Refresh data: Pull down on mobile or press R on desktop to refresh all sense data
  • Quick search: Press / to search across all Auras and conversations
  • Unread filter: Click "Unread" in the activity feed to show only messages you haven't seen
  • Mobile tip: Swipe left on an Aura card for quick actions
Note
The dashboard is designed to give you quick access to everything. If something feels buried, check if there's a shortcut - most actions are just a click or keypress away.
