Location Library
Learn how to save and manage locations like home, work, and gym for use in location-based rules and triggers.

Overview
The Location Library is where you save important places like your home, workplace, gym, and favorite coffee shop. These saved locations can be used as triggers in your Aura's behavior rules - for example, "When I arrive at work" or "When I leave the gym."
Locations are saved at the account level, meaning all your Auras can use the same saved places. You only need to set up each location once.
Accessing Your Locations
To view and manage your saved locations:
- Go to Library in the main navigation
- Select the Locations tab
You'll see a list of all your saved locations with their names, addresses, and categories.
Adding a New Location
There are two ways to add a location: search for an address or use your current location.
Search by Address
- Click Add Location
- In the search field, start typing an address, place name, or business
- Select the correct result from the dropdown suggestions
- The map will center on the selected location
- Adjust the pin if needed by dragging it on the map
- Fill in the location details (name, category, radius)
- Click Save Location
Use Current Location
- Click Add Location
- Click the Use Current Location button
- Allow location access if prompted by your browser
- The map will center on your current position
- Fine-tune the pin position if needed
- Fill in the location details
- Click Save Location
Location Settings
Each location has several settings you can configure:
Display Name
The name shown in rules and notifications. Choose something descriptive like:
- "Home"
- "Work Office"
- "Mom's House"
- "Downtown Gym"
This name appears in rule conditions like "When I arrive at Work Office."
Location Category
Categories help organize your locations and can influence how Aura interprets context. Available categories:
- Home: Your primary residence
- Work: Office, workplace, or coworking space
- Gym: Fitness centers and workout locations
- School: Educational institutions
- Restaurant: Dining locations
- Shopping: Stores and malls
- Healthcare: Doctors, hospitals, clinics
- Other: Everything else
Geofence Radius
The radius determines how close you need to be for Aura to consider you "at" the location. This creates an invisible boundary (geofence) around your saved coordinates.
- Small (50m): Very precise - good for specific buildings
- Medium (100m): Default - works well for most locations
- Large (200m): Covers larger areas like campuses or malls
- Extra Large (500m): For large complexes or areas with GPS uncertainty
Managing Locations
Editing a Location
- Go to Library → Locations
- Click on the location you want to edit
- Update the name, category, radius, or position
- Click Save Changes
Changes take effect immediately for all rules using that location.
Deleting a Location
- Go to Library → Locations
- Click the location you want to remove
- Click Delete Location
- Confirm the deletion
Using Locations in Rules
Once you've saved locations, you can use them in behavior rules:
- Arrive triggers: "When I arrive at Work" - fires when you enter the geofence
- Leave triggers: "When I leave Home" - fires when you exit the geofence
- At location conditions: "If I'm at Gym" - checks your current location when evaluating the rule
Example rules:
- "When I arrive at Work, remind me of today's priorities"
- "When I leave the Gym, suggest a post-workout snack"
- "If I'm at Home after 10 PM, suggest winding down"
Sharing Across Auras
Locations are shared across all your Auras automatically. This means:
- You only need to save "Home" once - all Auras can use it
- Changes to a location apply everywhere
- Each Aura can use locations in its own rules independently
For example, your "Wellness" Aura might have a rule for arriving at the Gym, while your "Work" Aura uses the Office location - both use the same location library.
Tips & Best Practices
- Start with the basics: Add Home and Work first - these are the most common location triggers
- Use descriptive names: "Downtown Gym" is better than "Gym" if you have multiple gym locations
- Test your radius: If triggers fire too early or late, adjust the radius and test again
- Check location permissions: Make sure Aura has "Always" or "While using" location access on your phone for reliable triggers
- Consider GPS accuracy: In areas with poor GPS (underground, indoors), use larger radii
- Keep your list manageable: You don't need to save every location - focus on places where you want proactive Aura behavior
